Anchor Maintenance
Ship anchor maintenance and class inspections are a requirement for vessel operations. Neel Underwater Services can locate lost anchor and assist in recovery through the use of commercial diver operations or ROV. In order to start a salvage operation we first require two accurate GPS locations of the vessel bow and the anchor drop point along with accurate water depth.

The hydraulic Hull Cleaning makes use of quality brushes that retract fully from the hull with a clearance to prevent damage on the paint work coating while removing unwanted fouling and corrosion efficiently.

Ship propeller polishing removes marine growth from the surface of propeller blades which may significantly reduce fuel consumption. Underwater propeller polishing enhances reliability and extends maintenance cycles of vessels.

Non destructive testing can be carried out in the wet or dry using our magnetic particle inspection (MPI)
UV crack testing system. MPI crack testing involves determining the extent of a crack in ferrous metals which may not be visible to the eye. When the extremities of the crack are located often stop drilling technique is required or other supplementary preventative measures.

Commercial Diving Services have been supplying the commercial shipping industry with approved ship in-water class surveys and hull inspections since 1985. We hold all the major class approvals for in-water class surveys and mobile offshore unit surveys including Lloyd’s, ABS and DNV-GL.

We provide experienced certified divers and crews capable of commercial deep diving in various locations. We own and operate a portable decompression chamber which can be deployed onsite if required for deep diving operations.
